EMRF/KEN PAVES BIG GIVE PARTY AT BESO

Eva Longoria and Ken Paves BFF's showed up for their version of the Big Give at Beso's Restaurant in L.A. While I realize this was a charity event, it doesn't mean leave your sense of style at home. Eva is not working for me in this outfit; the dress does not seem to fit properly and I am sure Ken did not style her hair this time! Everyone is either dressed too damper or underdressed in the case of Jennifer Aniston. My favorite fashionista at this event is ...Ashley Simpson. I'm surprised as well, but Ashley got it right; sexy & stylish in her simple black tank, 50's tux skirt, trendy wide belt and cheetah Louboutins.

NICKELODEON'S 2008 CHOICE AWARDS FASHION

As I type A-listers are filing into the Pauley Pavilion in L.A for Nickelodeon’s 2008 Kids Choice Awards. This type of event always brings out the true fashion of celebrities as most often some forget to use a stylist for this event. I will add more information about the designer labels on the orange carpet as soon as I research..











Rihanna is stylin with this punk rock-girl gone bad look..lovin the hair, makeup and girly bustier. Typical of RiRi's style, she almost goes overboard mixing so many trends at one time..but pulls it off! RiRi is wearing an H&M bustier and Stella McCartney jeans.

It's good to see Nia Long back in the spot light, even if it is just to accompany her cute son to the Nickelodeon Awards. Nia is wearing a Marc Jacobs dress and Sergio Rossi shoes.

Hayden Panettiere is playing it safe wearing this summer's trendy color orange.


Not sure where Asley Simpson is going wrong here. The neon orange Christian Louboutin wedges do nothing for her outfit. The hair is a mess..and what is going on with her legs - tan or stockings??
Love Cameron Diaz, but darling, it's time for a makeover! Nothing wrong with the attire, it works for Cameron. I adore the white wedge Louboutin's and neon clutch. But Cameron just looks tired and sorta depressed. Cameron is wearing Missoni.

I'm not familiar with Cameron Richardson however she is rockin this look.

NAIL BITER

Our girl RiRi is determined to make neon nail colour a hott summer trend. Rihanna, again, pulls this look off because she is young, pretty, and stylish. I can see young style makers giving this trend a try; I would say neon pink will be most wearable colour.

MIAMI 'FUNKSION' FASHION WEEK - SWEETFACE

Sweetface presented a quaint selection of styles for Miami’s Fall Fashion Week at the Setai Hotel. I did not spot anything terribly original, but I would wear some of these pieces. And I appreciate the overall styling; the green shadow used for a smoky eye and garnet nails. Notice the lame leggings and oversize rings. Btw..is JLo even working with her Sweetface label anymore??

GET A LEG UP!

80’s inspired cotton-stretch leggings of last year are suppose to be a thing of the past – yet again. The latest spin on the cotton legging trend are lamé leggings and super-skinny leather pants. I think Rihanna pulls off the lamé legging look because she is young and trendy; so does CariDee English (from ANTM). Still, I’m not a big fan of this look. I prefer the maturity of the leather pants as seen on Ashley Olsen, Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham. I must say, Posh could use a bit more junk in her trunk!

ROCK IT!!

I am really digging this boyish-rocker hair style that I believe Victoria Beckham started early 2007. Now I’ve spotted this same style on singer Rihanna, Swedish pop singer-songwriter Robyn, and Sarah Harding of the British group Girls Aloud. Anyhow, if my hair didn’t grow so slowly I would have had this cut months ago!

BEACH BUNNY

Just about all of my gal-pals have or are on their way to the sunny Caribbean for vacation and I thought what a perfect time to blog about swimwear. I don’t know about you, but every year I purchase a new swimsuit, yet I haven’t seen a beach in four years! Ok, Chicago does have a fabulous beach..but ya know what I mean. So I selected a few swimsuits that I have either seen on the runway or while surfing the web, that I think are very fashion forward beach attire.
