Givenchy, pronounced ‘zhee-von-shee’, presented breathtaking couture yesterday at the Couvent des Cordeliers in Paris. At Givenchy’s helm is Riccardo Tisci, known for designing with a dark gothic edge, Tisci took a softer approach this season with draped chiffon gowns in tints of lemon, faded Parma violet, and celadon. The runway strewn with rose petals, inspired by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema’s “The Roses of Heliogabalus” painting, as pictured above. Bravo Tisci!!
