W Magazine & LACMA hosted an Inaugural Avant-Garde Gala in Los Angeles CA. yesterday. Apparently, it was a chilly night since many starlets wore jackets over their couture.
I just luv-luv-luv Angie Harmon. Believe I mentioned meeting her during NYC Fashion Week in February and she was just so impeccable in person. Angie’s look here is chic and sophisticated, wearing a sheer white blouse and ornate skirt by Oscar de la Renta Spring 2008 ,with leopard Louboutins. 
Joy Bryant's embellished dress and silver strappy shoes are adorable. However the blue jean jacket and sloppy weave distract from the overall look.
Luba Azria, wife of BCBG designer Max Azria, chose a BCBG chiffon dress topped with a mustard colored cashmere sweater (belted) and gladiator shoes. Hummm…nice that she took a risk, but I’m not feeling this look. 
Rashida Jones chose a silky 50’s inspired dress and open-toed Mary Janes. Love the makeup and hair. Again, I can hardly see the outfit because of the jacket, which I assume Rashida removed at some point. Is Rashida still on The Office??

What was Britney Murphy thinking? Just disastrous! Fug dress, fug purse and don’t even get me started with the fur jacket. A hott mess!

Alexandra Von Furstenberg is an American billionaire's daughter who married nobly, expensively and well, then went to work helping her mother-in-law, Diane Von Furstenberg, revive the 1970's wrap dress. With all that said I’m not incredibly impressed with her dress or shoe choice. The dress looks wrinkled (great vibrant blue color) and the shoes are boring.
